WGP#1 WATERJET WORLD SERIES 2025

Simon Belcher and Dr. Worakit Mongkolporn have cemented their status as champions, each claiming victory at Round 2 of the WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2025, also known as the "Belgium Grand Prix 2025."

This world-class event, a testament to Thailand's success in owning the world's number one water sports series, drew over 250 top riders from 36 countries and five continents to Lacs de l'Eau d'Heure in Wallonia, Belgium. The tournament, held from July 24-27, 2025, was made possible by the generous support of the Thamanat Prompow Foundation, the Sports Authority of Thailand, the National Sports Development Fund, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Amazing Thailand), Freedom Racing, Jettribe Racing Red, Just Race Timing System, Ride House, Kawasaki, Domaine Des Lacs Des Lacs de l'eau d'Heure, and OR2.

PRO SPORT GP: A Nail-Biting Finish for Simon Belcher
The PRO SPORT GP class featured several top riders, including the current world champion Ou Moeut Saly (#77) from Cambodia, former world champion Simon Belcher (#111) from the UK, and Thai rider Suphathat Footrakul (#45), who moved up a class after winning the PRO RUNABOUT 1100 OPEN in 2023. The race also included the young Cambodian star and recent Osaka Grand Prix champion, Filin Saly (#33).

The competition quickly turned into an intense battle between Europe and Asia, with #111 Simon Belcher and #45 Suphathat Footrakul trading wins in the first two motos. Belcher held a slim lead with 113 points to Footrakul's 99. In the final moto, Footrakul staged a remarkable comeback to take the win, while Belcher finished in third. However, after all the points were tallied, Simon Belcher (#111) emerged victorious with 161 points, narrowly beating Suphathat Footrakul by just two points to win the "Belgium Grand Prix 2025."

PRO-AM RUNABOUT 1100 OPEN: Dr. Worakit Mongkolporn Proves He's the Real Deal
After his surprise win at the Osaka Grand Prix 2025, Thai rider Dr. Worakit Mongkolporn (#58) proved he was no "dark horse" but a true champion. He dominated the PRO-AM RUNABOUT 1100 OPEN class by winning every single moto. His perfect game, which included victories over former world champion Louie Buhisan (#26) from the Philippines, earned him a maximum 180 points and the top spot on the podium at the "Belgium Grand Prix 2025."
